Inside the AuDHD Brain: Autism & ADHD Intertwined - Parent Workshop

  • The Inclusive Movement 1 Sharpe Avenue Karratha, WA, 6714 Australia (map)

Children who present with both Autism and ADHD (often referred to as AuDHD) experience a unique overlap of traits, strengths, and challenges. This practical workshop will help parents, carers, and professionals better understand the AuDHD brain and provide real-world strategies for supporting children at home, in school, and in the community.

Led by Carol Hegan (Au/ADHD Adult, Developmental Educator & Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner), this session will combine lived experience, professional expertise, and the latest neuro-affirming research.

By the end of this workshop, participants will:

  • Gain a clear understanding of how Autism and ADHD interact in children.

  • Recognise common presentations of AuDHD, including sensory, communication, executive functioning, and emotional regulation needs.

  • Learn practical, strength-based strategies for daily life and school settings.

  • Take away resources, tools, and reflective practices for ongoing support.
